The University of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy started its educational activities in the 2017-2018 academic year. The faculty is currently carrying out its academic activities and running the undergraduate program with 17 academic staff (3 professors, 1 associate professor, 9 doctor faculty and 4 research assistants) appointed in the departments of Pharmaceutical Professional Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology and Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The five-year program consists of theoretical and practical courses, graduation projects and internships in the fields of Basic Pharmacy Sciences, Pharmacy Professional Sciences and Pharmacy Technology. The curriculum started with the courses within the scope of basic sciences and continues with the courses related to the professional and technological sciences of pharmacy. Theoretical lessons are supported by practice/laboratory practices and aims to give the students the concept of pharmacy and professional application skills.

The language of education is Turkish. Students graduate by acquiring the title of “pharmacist". Pharmacists graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Health Sciences can run a community pharmacy or work in an assistant pharmacist/ second pharmacist position or may choice to work in hospital pharmacies. They can also work in different departments (production, quality control, quality assurance, research and development, pharmacovigilance, medical, clinical research, marketing, regulatory affairs) of the drug and cosmetic industry, in drug warehouses, in public institutions and organizations such as the Turkish Medicine and Medical Device Agency, the Republic of Turkey Social Security Institution or the Turkish Institution of Public Health, in analysis laboratories, in drug and poison information centers, in cell and stem-cell therapy centers, in radiopharmacy laboratories, and also in notified bodies for medical devices, contract research organizations, drug consultancy companies and professional organizations. In addition, they have the opportunity to make an academic career in doctoral programs in Turkey and abroad.
